Kelisa Driver Allegedly Abducts Disabled Girl, Drives Her to Kedah
Man has been arrested by police for allegedly abducting an 18-year-old girl with disabilities (OKU) on April 5.





MELAKA – A man has been arrested by police for allegedly abducting an 18-year-old girl with disabilities (OKU) from Taman Rambai Idaman, Bukit Rambai, on April 5.
Melaka Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, said the arrest was made at 4 a.m. today along Jalan Jati, Sungai Petani, Kedah.
"Following a police report lodged by the 47-year-old mother of the victim, we managed to trace the suspect and apprehend him in Kedah," he told reporters.
The 40-year-old suspect is believed to have abducted the girl using a silver Perodua Kelisa while she was playing at a playground.
He is said to be a trader residing in Melaka.
Suspect Took Victim Across Multiple States
Further investigations revealed that on the day of the incident, the suspect took the victim to several locations, including Seremban (Negeri Sembilan), Ipoh (Perak), and Bukit Mertajam (Penang), before heading to his hometown in Baling, Kedah.
"An initial physical examination of the victim found no visible external injuries. A detailed inspection of the suspect's vehicle did not uncover any illegal items," Christopher added.
However, authorities confirmed that the man has a prior criminal record under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
The suspect is currently being remanded for further investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code for wrongful abduction.
