Brave Mother Breaks Silence After 3 Years of Domestic Violence in Kuala Pilah
Heartbreaking case of domestic violence has come to light in Kuala Pilah. A 31-year-old Chinese housewife endured abuse for three long years, all because she wanted to protect her unborn child.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — A heartbreaking case of domestic violence has come to light in Kuala Pilah, Kuala Lumpur. A 31-year-old Chinese housewife endured abuse for three long years, all because she wanted to protect her unborn child. Now, she has finally spoken up, hoping her story will encourage others in similar situations to seek help.
During her fourth month of pregnancy, the woman was beaten badly by her husband — all over leftover food. He even kicked her into a door, breaking her pinky finger. More recently, he bit her shoulder so hard that it bled. Tearfully, she shared: “Whenever he hit my belly, my baby would kick harder… I was so scared something would happen to him.”
Speak Up Against Violence: Silence is Not the Solution
Even though she was in pain, physically and emotionally, she chose to stay silent for years — just for her baby. But the violence only got worse. Finally, she made a brave decision to report her husband and seek help. Now, she hopes her story can inspire others to stop tolerating abuse.
“I stayed quiet for so long because I thought he would change. But violence only got worse. This is not love. This is not what a family should be,” she said.
Malaysia’s Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development reminds everyone that all domestic violence cases are kept strictly confidential. Victims’ identities will be protected, and they are encouraged to seek support.
